If you have reached the adolescence stage, it is normal to notice some changes in your body. Pimples will start to pop up, but before it increases and eventually spread in your face, treat it as early as possible. You can get rid of acne by cleansing your face, maintaining a good hygiene and observe proper diet.
Acne is not only seen in the face, it can also appear in your back, neck, chest, scalp and even in your genitals. Acne can be a cause of stress, poor hygiene, irresponsible diet and too much hormones. You can avoid the spread of acne by avoiding these factors that can make your acne WORST:
- Pick and Squeeze- Never pick and squeeze your pimple for it may lead to irritation and will just worsen your pimples. Besides, pimples are caused by bacteria trapped in your pores, and if you’re going to picked it by your bare hand that has more germs and bacteria, expect your pimples to get bigger and more likely to increase. Picking and squeezing can also lead to deep acne scars.
- Too Much Make Up- Cosmetics often has substance or chemicals that can trigger acne breakouts. Dermatologists suggest that too much cosmetics application can cause pimple outbreaks. Also, ensure first if the cosmetic is fit for your skin and double check its expiration. Outdated cosmetics can ruin your skin. Do not borrow or share your cosmetics with others, acne is contagious, you might have one too. And lastly, remove your make up with clean water before going to sleep.
- Taking too much drugs- There are drugs or medications that are sued to treat other illness or depression that has side affects which is acne outburst. Drugs that ha Lithium (for depression), testosterone (commonly used by athletes), Danazol (for women who has uterus problem) and corcicosteroids contain substance that can trigger acne.
- Exposure to Heat- One major factor of acne is sweat. Too much sweat can cause dirt that leaves on skin. Do not over expose yourself in too much heat or space that produces heat, it does not only lead to sweating but it could also irritates your skin. Putting skin protection such as sun block is good when you have to go out doors, it will help your face protected by the substance of heat. Drinking plenty of water is also good to help moisturize your skin.
- Excessive Cream and Medicaments application- Too much application of topical creams in acne areas can also cause irritation that might lead to more acne outbreaks.
- Stress- Get away from stress. Too much thinking, anxiety, depression and other emotional and mental difficulties can boils up to stress that can trigger acne. Do not drown yourself from stress, have fun and maintain a balance lifestyle.
- Poor Hygiene- Regularly bathing and cleansing is a major factor to avoid having skin diseases like acne. Acne is caused by dirt that we get from our daily activity, and regular bathing can help remove the dirt that remains.
