Orange and Lemon Cure for Acne
Citrus fruits like orange and lemons are rich in vitamins C that helps treat acne fast. Citrus fruits also soothes the skin and keep it hydrated.
Orange Peel Remedy- Peel two oranges. Pund the orange peel with a little water. Gently apply it on your face. Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse.
Lemon Juice Remedy- Squeeze two lemons. Mix the lemon juice with small amount of water. Using a cotton ball, apply the lemon juice on your face. leave it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse.

Having a pleasant and quiet sleep can help release inner stress and circulates the blood through our body. A long hour of sleep is very important because it’s the time when our mind and body rests and energize. However, people with lack of sleep have high risk of getting skin problem like acne.
Although lack of sleep will not directly be a cause of acne, but it can be a major factor why acne suddenly appears on a person. This is called sleep deprivation. Sleep deprivation happens when a person does not have enough hours of sleep and when he/she suffers from an insomnia or hard time of sleeping.
Effects of Sleep Deprivation
- Lack of sleep can make a person fat or much worst, obese. – Lack of sleep can cause a person to increased their metabolism and appetite. Because of the low energy due to lack of sleeping, a person will depend to eat and eat more food as a replacement to the energy that is lost.
- It can increase insulin- High amount of insulin is one of the greatest enemy of the skin. Insulin resistance can increase glucose or sugar that is one of the major causes of diabetes and acne.
- Lack of sleep can increase inflammatory cytokines. Cytokines has high in proteins that is a major cause of acne when the intake is too much. Based on the Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism “Even modest sleep restriction adversely affects inflammatory cytokine levels. In a carefully controlled study, sleep deprivation caused a 40-60% average increase in the inflammatory marker IL-6 in men and women, while men alone showed a 20-30% increase in TNF-a. Both IL-6 and TNF-a are potent pro-inflammatory cytokines that induce systemic inflammation.”
- It can make you stress and depress- Lack of sleep can make your mind and body stress especially for people who are working. If stress is ruining your life, tremendous depression will also exist. A person who is dealing with stress and depression has high risk of caring his/herself less, they become weak, tired and intake a lot amount of food.
How to get rid of sleep deprivation?
- Maintain peaceful long hours of sleep- A person should have at least 8 hours of continuous sleep.
- Have a balance lifestyle- Never let your self drown of work. Too much work can be a major cause of stress and stress can lead to acne. Work hard, but keep your self on the right track.
- Drink lots of water, less caffeine intake- Water can help your blood circulates on your body which helps you have inner peace and can help you have peaceful sleep. Too much caffeine intake like coffee can make you awake the whole night.
- Do not over think- People tend to over think of their personal problems, thoughts and other concerns which can lead to depression. When depression hits, a person will have a hard time sleeping and trigger pimple or acne outburst.
