Pearl Fractional Laser Treatment Effective as Acne Scar Removal

"Those types of acne tend to leave behind scarring, so the sooner we can intervene with topical medication, oral antibiotics or for some patients, even Accutane, than we can hopefully halt the progression and minimize any scarring," said Obagi.
To guard against wrinkles, Obagi advises not smoking and protecting skin from the sun.
"The number one thing you want to look for is a sunblock that's going to protect you every day. People are under the misconception that you only need sunscreens in spring and summer, which is great to prevent sunburns, but you don't realize that the aging rays of the sun is UVA or ultraviolet, and that's consistent all year long, even in Pittsburgh," said Obagi.
