Majority of the worlds’ population suffer from acne. Scientists, doctors, biologists, dermatologists and dieticians made a study and research of what causes acne for so many years.
Although they were available to find some definitive answers if acne is hormonally induced and what to do to prevent acne in coming out in the skin, still there are questions left unanswered what really causes acne.
There are lots of medicines being recommended to acne sufferer, they’ve tried it but still won’t work instead it just made the acne become worst. And somehow you are probably sick and tired of trying all those recommendations. So instead of spending thousands of money why not try this simple and economical way of curing it.
A study conducted by Dr. Lit Hung Leung in 1997, which states that Acne breakouts because the body cannot create enough of Coenzyme A to break down the fatty acids that create sebum.
It is probably because the single most needed enzyme in the body is Coenzyme A. Coenzyme-A is what synthesizes sex hormones, and what breaks down fatty acids.
The only part of Coenzyme-A that the body does not produce itself is vitamin B5. So, if there is a shortage of B5, there is a shortage of Coenzyme-A. And if there is a shortage of Coenzyme-A, the body will use it to synthesize sex hormones, not break down fatty acids. So, this means, the more fatty acids, more sebum production the more acne comes out!
This claim of Dr. Lit Hung Leung was tested to 100 people to prove the effectiveness. They took 10 grams or more of panthothenic acid (B5) and used a B5 topical cream of 20% by weight. After 2-3, sebum production was reduced, and many people with acne noticed a reduction. Higher dosage of B5 was used (approx. 15-20 grams per day), for those with more extreme acne and the treatment was prolonged to see an effect, sometimes up to 6 months.
For those who do not to use chemicals such as benzoyl peroxide, or other prescription acne treatments, can take B5 into consideration while the effectiveness is still being studied. But it is best to consult a doctor before trying a B5 regimen, for your own safety and for the fast treatment of your acne.
