Eliminate Acne Scars with Microdermabrasion

Prevention and treatment of acne is one thing. Getting rid of acne scars is another. Acne scar is usually a result of pimple piercing and other improper acne treatments. This facial blemish is more frustrating than pimples as it is the one that’s left after the pimples disappear. It usually requires thorough treatment and may be a lifelong reminder of the pimples you acquired.

Needless to say, acne scars never look good on anyone. Fortunately, there are a number of treatments available to diminish it. One technique used is the acne scars dermabrasion, said to be the most effective treatment for acne scars. This process utilizes a high-speed brush to remove surface skin and lessen the contour of scars. It can eliminate superficial scars and reduce the severity of deep scars. However, acne scars dermabrasion has its share of pitfalls. One downside is that it is not applicable for all kinds of scars and skin type. It may make ice-pick scars more noticeable if acne scars are wider under the skin than at the surface. It may also alter the pigmentation of people with dark skin.

The good news for all that is suffering from acne scars is that there is a new technique called Acne scar Microdermabrasion. This method doesn’t make use of a high-speed brush, but uses aluminum oxide crystals that pass through a vacuum tube to remove top skin layer. This is said to be the safer and more effective method as only the surface cells of the skin are removed, so no additional wound is created. It may require several procedures.

People who use acne scar microdermabrasion may experience slight skin redness and pigmentation. However, the procedure is guaranteed to be safe and gentle.
